The district budget season is upon us. This will be the sixth year SD10 and its Board of Education have engaged in the annual budget consultation process with employees and parent community in order to help inform the next year’s budget. Meetings are held with staff and parents in each of the five schools. The input helps to identify needs at each school, which is then shared with the Finance Committee.
A multi-partner Finance Committee also meets three times from February to April each year. The Committee, comprised of representatives from the ALTA, CUPE, ALELA and DPAC, gives input from their representative groups. In addition, senior district staff share information about various aspects of our budget planning and forecasting, and share potential budget scenarios.
